We have closed the doors behind our Quilt Festival 2011, Alive with Colour!  It is hard to believe that all the preparations and organization is now over.  What a wonderful time we all had in Stellenbosch!

 

The Exhibition was seen by hundreds of visitors who enthused over the beautiful works of art.  Pam Holland from Australia, said that in all her travels as a quilt teacher, she has never seen colour used in quilts like she saw at our exhibition!  High praise indeed!  We thank all the quilters who entrusted us with their wonderful entries.

 

The workshops were well attended with most of the classes fully booked.  The delegates were inspired and we thank our teachers for sharing their knowledge with us.  We hope everyone went home encouraged by what they have learnt.

 

The vendors didn’t disappoint us and we thank them for bringing all that wonderful fabric and lots of new ideas for us to pursue.  We hope they arrived home safely and have settled back in their shops!

 

We thank the Bloemhof Girls’ School for allowing us the use of their beautiful premises.  We really took over the facilities and we hope that all is back together again!  We especially thank Alta Wagenaar and the working staff who helped us so much every day.  We could not have managed without you!

 

We thank our sponsors for their generosity once again.  We are always amazed by and are deeply grateful for your support.  You are all an integral part of our Quilt Festivals in South Africa.

 

 

Thanks to all the delegates who came from far and wide to support our Festival.  It is you that made our Festival a success!  It was wonderful seeing you all and we hope that you enjoyed the week in Stellenbosch!
